Curtains. Sometime the shear the single which let light in as well as afterwards the thick the single upon tip which insulated as well as shut off out light.
I own a home, that was built in 1926. It’s a family home, that was never "cleaned out" from a single era to a next, so a window treatments have been here given day one. Every window downstairs (minus a kitchen) has a law fit steel venetian blind (originally a cincture bondage were rope, we have upgraded them to brass) . The kitchen & each window a upper story had (I altered them) linen curtains. we am not certain that THAT process of window treatments was a "norm" in 1920 homes? Maybe it depended upon that partial of a nation we lived in? we am in NJ. Hope this helps.
The flapper days were flamboyant. Window treatments standard of a Art Deco duration were fiberglass fate to a sill with a shade underneath as well as side panels over that went to a floor. Colors were pale greens as well as blues.
